Government Joint Employees Union Commemorates Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s Birth Anniversary

Voter Awareness Program Held to Mark the Occasion

TFP Bureau, Raipur; April 14, 2024: The Government Joint Employees Union in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar commemorated the 133rd birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar today, honoring his legacy and contributions to Indian society. The event, held at Ambedkar Chowk near Indravati Bhawan in Atal Nagar Nava Raipur, saw officials and employees paying tribute to Dr. Ambedkar and reflecting on his life philosophy.

In a program attended by dignitaries including Director Fund Accounts and Pension Mr. Mahadev Kavre, Member RERA Mr. Dhananjay Devangan, Departmental Investigation Commissioner Mr. Dilip Wasnikar, Additional Director Public Relations Mr. Alok Dev, Industrial Court Judge Mr. S. L Matre, Convenor of Staff Officer Federation Mr. Kamal Verma, APEX President Mr. Satyendra Dewangan, Sozleaf Cofounder Mr. Anil Banaj, Electricity Board Engineer Mr. Rajkumar Sonkar, and Head of Department Employees Union President Mr. Ram Sagar Kosle, among others, floral tributes were offered to Dr. Ambedkar’s portrait.

Highlighting Dr. Ambedkar’s unparalleled contributions, Director Fund Accounts and Pension, Shri Mahadev Kavde emphasized the need to disseminate Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals and the provisions of the Indian Constitution among the masses. He underscored the principles of liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution, emphasizing their relevance for every Indian.

Member RERA, Shri Dhananjay Dewangan, reiterated the importance of Dr. Ambedkar’s works and struggles, urging for greater efforts to realize his vision of social equality and justice. He emphasized the significance of education in advancing Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals and called for collective action to uplift marginalized communities.

Departmental Investigation Commissioner, Shri Dilip Wasnikar, lauded Dr. Ambedkar’s multidisciplinary expertise and his monumental role in drafting the Indian Constitution. He highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s relentless efforts for the empowerment of the oppressed and marginalized sections of society.

Additionally, a voter awareness program was organized to emphasize the importance of democratic participation. RERA member Shri Dhananjay Dewangan stressed the duty and privilege of voting in a democracy, administering an oath to all attendees to exercise their right to vote.

The commemoration of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary serves as a reminder of his enduring legacy and the ongoing pursuit of social justice and equality in Indian society.
