Polling Parties Depart for First Phase of Lok Sabha Elections in Chhattisgarh

Helicopter Transport Deployed for Sensitive Areas

TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 16, 2024: As the Lok Sabha Elections-2024 gear up, the departure of polling parties commenced today for the first phase of voting in Chhattisgarh, particularly in the Bastar Lok Sabha constituency.

A total of 56 polling parties were dispatched by helicopter to the polling centers located in Bijapur, Sukma, and Narayanpur districts for the initial phase of voting. Tomorrow, on April 17, an additional 100 polling parties are scheduled to be airlifted to districts including Bijapur, Sukma, Kondagaon, Dantewada, and Narayanpur.

The Bastar Lok Sabha constituency is slated for voting on April 19, 2024, marking the commencement of the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. The counting of votes is scheduled for June 4, 2024, following the polling process.
