TFP Bureau, Raipur; April 28, 2024: As Lok Sabha elections approach, efforts to maximize urban voter turnout are underway, with various initiatives aimed at incentivizing participation. In a commendable move, the Chamber of Commerce has taken the lead by announcing discounts on products and services for voters who show their inked finger at participating establishments. The decision was conveyed during a meeting with Collector and District Election Officer, Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh.
Led by President Shri Amar Parwani, the Chamber of Commerce delegation shared plans to offer discounts across different business sectors to motivate voters. Expressing appreciation for the initiative, Dr. Singh highlighted its potential to bolster voter turnout in Raipur on May 7. In recognition of their proactive stance, members of the Chamber of Commerce, including Mr. Parwani, were honored with badges and mugs by the Collector.
Under the initiative, various business associations have pledged discounts on their products and services:
– Furniture Association: 10% discount
– Textile Traders Association: 10% discount
– Raipur Optical Association: 15% discount
– Plywood Association: 5% discount
– Bullion Association: 15% discount on gold making charges
Additionally, the Ravi Bhavan Traders Association will offer a 10% discount on accessories products and provide a free mobile guard with mobile repairs. The FMCG Wholesale Distributors Association at Banjari Market will extend a 15% discount on MRP, while the Cafe and Restaurant Association will provide a 10% discount. Other associations, including RADA (car accessories), Transport Association, Computer Association, Aluminum Association, IDBT Traders Association, Toy Traders Association, Marble Tiles Association, Dry Fruit Association, Cycle Association, Golbazar Traders Association, and Banjari Road Traders Association, have also announced attractive offers and discounts.
The discounts will be valid from May 7 to May 12, with initiatives such as the distribution of 3000 vegetable packets by Shri Ram Wholesale Market starting from May 8, further enhancing the voter engagement drive.
