TFP Bureau, Raipur; April 30,2024: In the ongoing investigation of the Chhattisgarh liquor scam, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has requested a six-day remand for former IAS officer Anil Tuteja. Tuteja, who was previously remanded in custody, was produced before a special court on Monday by the ED. The defense, however, contends that the remand is unnecessary, emphasizing the lack of substantial inquiry into the liquor scam during the previous remand period.
Following arguments from both the defense and prosecution regarding the remand, the court has opted to reserve its decision. It’s worth noting that Tuteja was previously in ED custody for five days in connection with the liquor scam case. After the conclusion of the remand period, he was once again brought before the court of Atul Kumar Srivastava. After thorough deliberation, the court has reserved its verdict on the matter.
