TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 8, 2024: Following the conclusion of the third phase of voting, State Congress President Deepak Baij extended his thanks to the voters of Chhattisgarh, highlighting their commitment to democracy amid challenging conditions. Baij emphasized that voter turnout reflected a strong awareness of democratic rights among Chhattisgarh’s electorate. The Congress Party extends congratulations to all voters as voting concludes across all 11 Lok Sabha seats in the state, with expectations favoring Congress victories.
Baij asserted that Chhattisgarh residents voted for change, expressing dissatisfaction with issues such as inflation, unemployment, and unfulfilled promises. The voting trend in favor of Congress was evident across the seven Lok Sabha constituencies in this phase, indicating a collective desire to shift away from the Modi government. The electorate’s determination to effect change through voting was palpable, reflecting disapproval of the BJP’s governance over the past decade.
Furthermore, Baij remarked on a broader anti-Modi sentiment nationwide, citing the BJP’s ambitious claims of surpassing 400 seats as empty rhetoric. After three voting phases, it appears the BJP is struggling to even reach 150 seats, challenging their earlier grandiose proclamations.
