Chhattisgarh Board Announces High School and Higher Secondary Examination Results

Top performers shine as pass rates increase compared to last year

TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 9, 2024:  The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education declared the results of the high school and higher secondary board examinations today, with significant achievements and improvements noted across both levels.

In the high school examination, 75.61 percent of candidates successfully passed, marking a notable increase from last year’s pass rate. Among them, 79.35 percent of girls and 71.12 percent of boys secured passing grades.

For the higher secondary examination, the pass rate stood at 80.74 percent, demonstrating a commendable improvement compared to the previous year. Girls outperformed boys, with 83.72 percent of female candidates passing compared to 76.91 percent of male candidates.

The announcement also highlighted the exceptional performances of top scorers. Simran Sabba of Swami Atmanand Government Excellent English Medium, Jashpur, secured the first position in the class 10th board exam with an outstanding score of 99.50 percent. Meanwhile, Mehak Aggarwal of Evas Woodland English Medium Higher Secondary School, Saraipali, clinched the top spot in the class 12th board exam with an impressive score of 97.40 percent.

A total of 59 students made it to the top-10 list in the class 10th board exam, while 20 students were included in the top-10 list for the class 12th board exam.

Mrs. Renu Ji Pillay, President of the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, extended her congratulations to all successful candidates, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and resilience in the face of challenges. She encouraged those who did not pass to continue their efforts, assuring them that success is attainable through dedication and hard work.

The results reflect the efforts of 3,45,686 candidates who appeared for the High School Certificate Main Examination and 2,61,077 candidates who participated in the Higher Secondary School Certificate Main Examination.

The examination results, along with the merit list, are available on the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education’s official website, providing candidates with easy access to their performance data.

Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, Smt. Pushpa Sahu, along with other officials and staff, were present during the announcement of the results, underscoring the significance of the occasion for the education sector in the state.
