TFP Bureau, Raipur; May 9, 2024: Chief Electoral Officer Mrs. Reena Babasaheb Kangale expressed deep gratitude to all officers, employees, organizations, and voters who actively participated in the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 in Chhattisgarh. The state witnessed an impressive voter turnout, marking a significant milestone in democratic engagement.
Mrs. Kangale commended the enthusiastic participation of voters, highlighting their crucial role in strengthening the democratic process. She extended her appreciation to all election officials and staff who diligently executed their responsibilities during the electoral process.
Acknowledging the critical support provided by Central Security Forces and the State Police Force in ensuring free and fair elections, Mrs. Kangale emphasized their pivotal contributions to the electoral success.
The Chief Electoral Officer also thanked journalists across print, electronic, and social media platforms for effectively disseminating election-related information and encouraging voter participation.
Additionally, Mrs. Kangale expressed gratitude towards government and non-government organizations, public service institutions, and various stakeholders who actively promoted voter awareness and motivation.
Notably, Chhattisgarh witnessed a remarkable increase of 1.31% in voter turnout during the Lok Sabha elections, with an impressive total voting percentage of 72.8% across three phases. This milestone marks the highest voter turnout recorded in Lok Sabha elections held in the state thus far, underscoring the success of concerted efforts towards promoting democratic participation.
