TFP Bureau, New Delhi; May 13, 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results for both Class 10th and Class 12th board exams. In the Class 12th results, 87.98 percent of students have passed, with girls once again surpassing boys in the pass percentage. The pass percentage for girls stands at 91.52, while for boys, it is 85.12. Notably, the board has refrained from announcing any toppers this year.
Trivandrum emerged as the top-performing region across the country, whereas Prayagraj recorded a lower pass percentage. Students can access their Class 12th results by visiting the official CBSE website – Click here.
On the other hand, in the Class 10th results, the overall pass percentage was an impressive 93.60 percent, with around 20 lakh students passing the exam. Once again, girls have outperformed boys in terms of passing percentage. Over 2 lakh students have scored 90% or above, and nearly 48,000 students have secured 95% or more marks.
The CBSE has adopted a policy of not announcing individual toppers to discourage unhealthy competition among students. Instead, merit certificates will be awarded to the top students based on their scores.
Passing percentages across various categories are as follows:
– Boys: 92.71%
– Girls: 94.75%
– Transgender: 91.30%
Institute-wise pass percentages are as follows:
– JNV, KV: 99.09%
– Independent: 94.54%
– CTSA: 94.40%
The board has emphasized supporting students to excel academically without undue pressure. Government schools have achieved an overall passing percentage of 86.72%, reflecting the success of government initiatives in education.
