NMDC Steel Ltd. Unveils New Logo at First Annual Plan Meeting

Symbolic Logo Highlights Sustainable Future for Steel Production

TFP Bureau, Hyderabad, May 25, 2024: NMDC Steel Ltd. (NSL), based in Nagarnar, celebrated a significant milestone with the unveiling of its new logo at the NMDC Steel Plant. This event marks a major step forward in the company’s commitment to sustainable steel production. The logo was unveiled by Shri Amitava Mukherjee, CMD (Addl. Charge) of NSL, alongside key executives including Shri Vinay Kumar, Director (Technical), Shri B. Vishwanath, Chief Vigilance Officer, and Shri K Praveen Kumar, Executive Director, with other officials and union representatives present.

The new logo symbolizes NSL’s “Ispati Irada” and reflects the company’s mission to produce steel with a purpose. It represents NSL’s dedication to innovative steel production, highlighted by the transformation of hot metal into HR coil within nine days and achieving a record production of one million tonnes in just 226 days.

Shri Amitava Mukherjee emphasized the logo’s significance, stating, “This inaugural logo of NSL is a testament to our identity and our pride as Bastariyas. It incorporates the Dokra art form of Chhattisgarh, showcasing our cultural heritage and deep community ties. The logo is a vibrant representation of our mission to lead the steel industry with high-quality, sustainable steel. It embodies nature, technology, culture, and sustainability, all seamlessly integrated into the fabric of our steel production. It also underscores our commitment to the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, contributing to India’s infrastructure and industrial growth.”

Following the logo unveiling, NSL held its first Annual Plan Meeting. The meeting focused on building on the previous year’s successes, addressing operational challenges, and planning strategic initiatives for the future. Key areas of focus included enhancing production efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and maintaining innovation and excellence.

NSL aims to become a leader in the steel sector, promoting sustainable practices and supporting national infrastructure growth.
