Working Group Deliberates on “Amritkaal: Chhattisgarh Vision @ 2047” Document, Stresses Quality Health and Nutrition

Officials Propose Short, Medium, and Long Term Goals for Better Public Health

TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 29, 2024: The working committee tasked with formulating the “Amritkaal: Chhattisgarh Vision @ 2047” document convened today at the State NITI Aayog office in Atal Nagar Naya Raipur. Focused on the theme of quality health and nutrition, the meeting saw discussions on goals, challenges, and strategies aimed at achieving comprehensive healthcare and nutrition standards in the state.

Officials from the Health and Family Welfare Department and Women and Child Development Department delivered insightful presentations, outlining departmental goals, challenges, and capabilities. Key areas of discussion included reducing mortality rates, combating anemia, promoting universal healthcare access, leveraging telemedicine, enhancing maternal and child care services, upgrading healthcare infrastructure, and maximizing the benefits of public-private partnerships (PPPs) and central government schemes.

Vice President of State NITI Aayog, Mr. Ajay Singh, along with Member Secretary Mr. Anoop Shrivastava and Member Mr. K. Subramaniam, offered valuable suggestions on governance and welfare measures to ensure the effective implementation of short, medium, and long term vision strategies outlined by the departments. Emphasizing the importance of producing a high-quality report, Mr. Ajay Singh stressed its utility for governmental decision-making.

Mr. Rahul Bhagat, Secretary of the Good Governance and Convergence Department, proposed leveraging each district’s unique attributes to promote tourism and attract visitors. Advisor Dr. Dheeraj Tiwari advocated for comprehensive measures aimed at safeguarding citizens’ health and well-being, urging their inclusion in the document.

The meeting was attended by Director of Women and Child Development Department Mrs. Tulika Prajapati, Director of Public Relations Mr. Ajay Agarwal, senior officers from the Health Family Welfare Department, and Joint Director Dr. Neetu Gaudia, alongside committee members and nodal officers.

The discussions underscored the collective commitment to establishing a healthier and happier society for all residents of Chhattisgarh.
