TFP Bureau, Raipur; Jun 1, 2024: The Chhattisgarh Ministry’s General Administration Department successfully concluded a two-day training program for its officials and employees at Mahanadi Bhavan. The program, held on 30th and 31st May, focused on the use of NIC emails and digital administration tools for improving departmental efficiency.
The training was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Secretary, Special Secretary, Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and Under Secretary. The sessions aimed to streamline the administrative processes and enhance the use of digital tools in the Secretariat.
Inaugurating the program, Secretary General Administration Department, Anbalgan P., emphasized the importance of training and its objectives. Additional Chief Secretary of the Forest and Environment Department, Richa Sharma, discussed how digital tools like e-office, digital calendars, and emails could expedite the government’s work. She highlighted the necessity of adapting to new technologies to simplify officers’ tasks and improve overall efficiency.
NIC instructors provided detailed training on the use of NIC emails, including updating departmental address books and linking relevant emails for meetings, APARs, and IPRs. They also covered digital secretariat operations, including the use of digital calendars and the creation and management of Gmail IDs for departmental meetings.
The training included sessions on the rules and regulations for maintaining seniority in correspondence, medical reimbursement, travel allowances, telephone bills, and holiday rules. Under Secretary Anwesh Ghritalhra explained the importance of maintaining seniority order in communications and telephone conversations. Chief Accounts Officer Mahesh Sakalle provided insights into reimbursement and billing rules.
Deputy Secretary General Administration Department, Ajay Kumar Tripathi, conducted a session on personality development, emphasizing the importance of treating the public politely and providing assistance. The training also covered the maintenance of secrecy in court cases, assembly matters, and interactions with public representatives and visitors.
The program concluded with Additional Chief Secretary Home Department, Manoj Pingua, providing crucial guidance on government work behavior and the responsibilities of personal staff. Anshika Rishi Pandey, Under Secretary General Administration Department, thanked all participants and instructors for their contributions to the training program.
