TFP Bureau, New Delhi, June 7, 2024:The Election Commission of India has submitted the official list of newly elected members of the 18th Lok Sabha to the President of India. Chief Election Commissioner Shri Rajiv Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Shri Gyanesh Kumar and Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, met with the Hon’ble President at 4:30 PM today to deliver the notification.
The notification, issued in accordance with Section 73 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, contains the names of those elected during the recent General Elections to the Lok Sabha.
Following the meeting, the Chief Election Commissioner, the Election Commissioners, and senior officers of the Commission visited Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi, seeking blessings after the successful conduct of the elections.
