TFP Bureau,, Raipur, June 11, 2024: The Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee has hit back at Minister Dayal Das Baghel, accusing him of making baseless allegations against the Congress to cover up his government’s failures. Congress communication chief Sushil Anand Shukla refuted Baghel’s claims, stating that the minister’s accusations are an attempt to distract from his administration’s incompetence.
“A month ago, anti-social elements vandalized the sacred Jait Kham, sparking outrage within the community,” said Shukla. “Despite the demands for an inquiry and action against the culprits, the government failed to respond adequately. They had prior knowledge of the large gathering but did not take precautionary measures.”
Shukla blamed the BJP government for the incident, arguing that timely action against the vandals and better communication with the affected community could have prevented the unrest. He highlighted the anger in the Satnami community, particularly in Manakoni, a settlement near Girodpuri Dham, where the Jaitkham and a Satnami place of worship were desecrated. This led to protests and road blockades by the community.
The Congress spokesperson also called for the Chief Minister to resign, citing moral responsibility for the Baloda Bazaar incident. He criticized the government’s indecisiveness and claimed that the administration’s failures were leading to increased anarchy and crime in the state.
“The current leadership is unable to effectively govern, resulting in widespread disorder and rising crime rates,” Shukla concluded.
