TFP Bureau, Ambikapur, June 25, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended a commemorative event for Rani Durgavati’s Martyrdom Day, organized by Janjati Gaurav Samaj at Rajmohini Devi Sabha Bhawan. Shri Sai hailed Rani Durgavati as a symbol of tribal pride, emphasizing that her patriotism and struggle continue to inspire. He noted efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bolster tribal pride, including the construction of a grand memorial in Jabalpur and highlighting the presidency of Draupadi Murmu, a member of the tribal community.
Shri Sai shared a meal with Swachhata Didi, served on eco-friendly Sarai leaf plates, and instructed officials to install water coolers in all 20 SLRM centers. He also distributed Swachhata kits to Swachhata Didis. Addressing the event, Shri Sai underscored the tradition of respecting women in Indian culture, citing ancient scriptures.
The Chief Minister honored the sacrificial traditions of the tribal community, mentioning leaders like Birsa Munda and Veer Narayan Singh, whose contributions were crucial to India’s freedom. He assured comprehensive support for tribal youth, announcing increased capacities for the Tribal Youth Hostel in New Delhi and government-borne coaching expenses for students preparing for civil service exams.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam and Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade also attended, praising Rani Durgavati’s ideals and Prime Minister Modi’s initiatives for tribal development. The Chief Minister pledged Rs. 50 lakh for a new community hall, promising swift commencement of construction.
The event saw the presence of numerous dignitaries, including the Director of Mata Rajmohini Devi Seva Ashram, Smt. Ram Bai, and various public representatives and officials, marking a significant tribute to Rani Durgavati’s enduring legacy.
