Former CM Bhupesh Baghel Calls for Action on Teacher Eligibility Test Irregularities

Demands Investigation and Re-examination for Affected Candidates

TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 26, 2024: Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has called for an investigation into the irregularities in the Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2024 held at District Dhamtari Center No. 1520, Maharishi Vedvyas Shas. Maha. Bhakhara. Speaking to journalists, Baghel revealed that he has written to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, demanding action against those responsible and requesting a re-examination opportunity for the affected candidates.

Baghel highlighted that candidates at the specified examination center received their OMR sheets with a delay of 1.5 hours and were not granted additional time to complete the test. He questioned why the OMR sheets were not provided in adequate numbers and urged a thorough investigation.

“Strict action should be taken against the culprits, and candidates should be given a chance to appear in the examination again,” he said.

According to Baghel, the examination center in-charge had informed the Controller of CG Professional Examination Board, Naya Raipur, about the shortage of OMR sheets and received instructions not to allow extra time despite the delay. This affected around 400 candidates, many of whom were unable to complete their exams.

Baghel also addressed broader issues, criticizing the current state and national governments. He highlighted what he termed an “undeclared emergency” under the BJP government at the Center, citing actions against opposition parties and media, controversial laws affecting farmers, and the mishandling of the NEET examination. Baghel also called for the resignation of the Vishnu Deo Sai government, alleging administrative collusion in the Balodabazar incident and demanding an investigation under a High Court judge’s supervision.

Baghel concluded by criticizing the BJP’s liquor policy, alleging favoritism and monopolistic practices that have hurt consumers and state revenue. He emphasized the need for fair competition and transparency in government tenders and contracts.

Key Points from Baghel’s Address:

Teacher Eligibility Test Irregularities: Urged investigation and re-examination for candidates affected by OMR sheet delays.
Criticism of BJP Government: Alleged misuse of power and unfair practices under BJP rule at both state and national levels.
Call for Administrative Reforms: Demanded fair practices in government tenders and a transparent investigation into recent incidents.
