TFP Bureau, Udaipur, June 26, 2024: In a remarkable move to enhance local infrastructure, the Adani Foundation, under the aegis of the Rajasthan State Electricity Generation Corporation Limited, distributed e-vehicles in the Udaipur and Lakhanpur development blocks of Surguja district. This initiative was marked by a special event on Wednesday at the Tehsil office in Lakhanpur, where Ambikapur Assembly MLA Rajesh Aggarwal handed over two e-vehicles to representatives Dharam Singh from Lakhanpur and Nand Kunwar from Udaipur. Additionally, a garbage collection e-vehicle was provided to the Swachh Mahila Self Help Group.
The Adani Foundation also kicked off a campaign to distribute school uniforms and bags to 1,000 children in 14 villages affected by the Parsa East Kete Bassen coal mine project. The campaign began with over 250 children from government primary and secondary schools in Salhi and Parsa, who were welcomed with tilak and given new school supplies by MLA Aggarwal.
Prominent attendees included Ban Singh Netam, SDM of Udaipur; Ved Prakash Gupta, CEO of the district; Chandrasheela Jaiswal, Tehsildar; Naib Tehsildar Akash Gautam; and Manoj Shahi, Cluster Head of Adani Enterprises. The event also saw the presence of MLA representatives Rakesh Aggarwal, Ravi Aggarwal, Saurabh Aggarwal, and several BJP officials and local leaders.
MLA Rajesh Aggarwal praised the CSR activities of the Adani Foundation, urging the expansion of their health services initiatives in Lakhanpur and Udaipur. Responding to this, Manoj Shahi outlined the group’s ongoing social efforts and confirmed the proposed construction of a 100-bed multispecialty hospital in Salhi.
The Rajasthan State Electricity Generation Corporation Limited’s mining project currently employs over 3,500 people directly and more than 7,000 indirectly, contributing over Rs 2,000 crore annually to the Central and Chhattisgarh governments through various taxes. The Adani Foundation’s efforts in Udaipur block include programs in education, health, infrastructure development, and livelihood enhancement, showcasing their commitment to social welfare and community development.
