TFP Bureau, Raipur; June 27, 2024: Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary addressed students at the ‘Utkarsh-Bhavishya Ka Nirmaan’ program, emphasizing the importance of developing skills over merely accumulating degrees. The event, held at the Municipal Corporation Auditorium and organized by the district administration, aimed to provide career guidance to school and college students.
Minister Choudhary shared personal anecdotes from his journey, detailing his rise from a small village to becoming one of the youngest IAS officers at the age of 23, and eventually taking on the role of Finance Minister. He encouraged students to remain resilient in the face of challenges and to focus on gaining comprehensive knowledge and skills in their chosen fields.
“When I visited the Collector’s Office in Raigarh with my mother at age 11, I resolved to become an IAS officer,” Choudhary recounted. “Despite the obstacles, I worked tirelessly and achieved my dream. If I could do it, so can you, provided you don’t let circumstances deter you.”
Choudhary also highlighted examples of perseverance, such as Virat Kohli’s remarkable performance following his father’s death and Anand Kumar’s struggles, illustrating how determination can lead to success even in adverse conditions. He stressed the importance of a positive attitude and continuous learning, drawing from his own experiences in agriculture and stock trading post his IAS tenure.
Collector Kartikeya Goyal, addressing the attendees, underscored the significance of using time wisely and contributing to the nation’s future. He affirmed the value of the seminar, organized under his guidance along with CEO District Panchayat, to foster ongoing dialogue with students.
The event saw participation from numerous dignitaries, including Superintendent of Police Divyang Patel, CEO District Panchayat Jitendra Yadav, and others, who collectively stressed the importance of strategic planning and skill development for a successful career.
