TFP Bureau, Raipur; July 4, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai awarded Rs 26 lakh to the meritorious children of registered manufacturing workers under the Noni-Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana, ahead of the Jan Darshan program at the Chief Minister’s residence office. The incentive aims to support their higher education and facilitate their commute. Labor Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan also attended the event.
Thirteen meritorious students, who secured top 10 positions in the 10th and 12th board examinations, received cheques of Rs 2 lakh each. The amount, provided under the Noni-Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana, included Rs 1 lakh as an incentive and Rs 1 lakh specifically to purchase a scooty for school and college transportation.
At the beginning of the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda by offering flowers on his picture on his death anniversary. He then congratulated the students and wished them success in their higher education endeavors.
The scheme benefits children of registered construction workers who excelled in the 10th and 12th grade examinations conducted by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education in the academic session 2023-24.
