TFP Bureau, Raipur; July 4, 2024: Today, officials from various departments gathered for the second meeting of the working committee tasked with shaping “Amritkaal: Chhattisgarh Vision @2047”. Held at the State NITI Aayog office in Atal Nagar Nava Raipur, the session focused on pivotal aspects such as augmenting AI and IT services, developing central logistics hubs, and raising per capita income through skill advancement.
The deliberations underscored initiatives aimed at leveraging natural resources, empowering local MSMEs, and positioning Chhattisgarh as a leader in green manufacturing. Discussions also highlighted plans for creating state-of-the-art logistics facilities, integrated industrial transport networks, and dedicated infrastructure funds.
Mr. Anoop Shrivastava, Member Secretary of State NITI Aayog, and Mr. K. Subramaniam, Committee Member, emphasized the need for a comprehensive vision spanning short to long-term strategies. They stressed the importance of boosting employment in key sectors to drive economic growth and increase per capita income.
Secretary of the Department of Industries, Mr. Ankit Anand, highlighted Chhattisgarh’s strategic geographical advantage and abundant mineral resources, advocating for initiatives like integrated industrial parks and logistics hubs to harness these assets effectively.
The meeting, attended by representatives from multiple departments including Commerce, Tourism, Energy, and Finance, also focused on expanding IT services, fostering partnerships with industry giants, and establishing AI excellence parks.
The drafting of the vision document, entrusted to the State Policy Commission, aims for completion by September, with inputs from eight specialized working groups. Participants included Mr. Saurabh Kumar, CEO of Nava Raipur Development Authority, and Dr. Neetu Gaudia, Joint Director, among others.
The discussions reflect Chhattisgarh’s ambitious goals towards sustainable economic development and infrastructural growth, setting a comprehensive roadmap for the state’s future prosperity.
