TFP Bureau, Raipur; July 5, 2024: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai revisited his childhood school in Bagiya village for the State-Level Shala Praveshotsav, reminiscing about simpler times when students coated school floors with cow dung and villagers repaired roofs collectively. Emphasizing the transformative power of education, he announced significant initiatives aimed at improving educational standards across Chhattisgarh.
During his address, Chief Minister Sai unveiled plans for a model residential school for divyang students in Jashpur and the upgrade of schools in Bagiya and Bandarchua villages to model institutions. He also pledged to establish a higher secondary school in Farsabahar, marking a pivotal step towards enhancing educational infrastructure in remote areas.
Highlighting the importance of parental involvement in education, Chief Minister Sai announced that Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) would be held statewide on August 6. These meetings will facilitate better communication between teachers and parents regarding their children’s progress and educational needs.
Reflecting on the state’s educational reforms, Chief Minister Sai praised the new education policy for introducing bi-annual board examinations aimed at improving student performance. He emphasized the integration of local languages into textbooks to enhance learning outcomes and underscored the operation of 211 PM-SHRI schools dedicated to enhancing education quality.
The event also celebrated community contributions to education, including the ‘Nyota Bhoj’ program, where individuals sponsor meals for students on special occasions. Chief Minister Sai honored Padma Shri awardee Jageshwar Yadav for his dedicated service to tribal communities, highlighting his commitment and selfless dedication.
The ceremony concluded with Chief Minister Sai distributing bicycles to high school girls and honoring meritorious students and their parents. He encouraged students to excel in their studies and emphasized the importance of education in transforming lives and society.
The Chief Minister’s visit to Bagiya village and his alma mater was attended by various dignitaries, including Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, MP Radheshyam Rathiya, and MLA Raymuni Bhagat, who reiterated the government’s commitment to providing quality education and enhancing educational facilities across the state.
