TFP Bureau, Raipur, July 18, 2024: The indefinite strike by the Revenue Patwari Union (Rajaswa Patwari Sangh) concluded today following the intervention of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. A decisive meeting held between the Union’s leaders, Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma, and Revenue Secretary Avinash Champawat led to a resolution of the Union’s demands.
The meeting, directed by the Chief Minister, addressed the concerns of the Patwari Union, which had been on strike since July 8, presenting a 32-point list of demands. Both the Revenue Minister and Secretary assured the Union of positive action regarding their issues.
With the strike now ended, crucial revenue-related services—including income, caste, and residence certificates—will resume promptly. Key demands from the Union included the provision of computers, internet access, and printers for government offices to facilitate online operations. They also sought resources such as net allowances, the ability to amend land partitions directly from Patwari IDs, the posting of assistant programmers at the district level, and the online management of land transactions on the Bhuiyan portal, including the automatic removal of mortgages once farmers repay their bank loans.
The resolution of these issues marks a significant step towards ensuring smoother operations in revenue-related matters across the state.
