TFP Bureau, Raipur, August 02, 2024: Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan announced that Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy will take effect on November 1, 2024. Speaking at the 152nd Board of Directors meeting of the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC), he emphasized that the new policy will attract significant investment, accelerate state development, and bolster the local economy by creating a favorable industrial environment and job opportunities.
New Industrial Projects and Infrastructure Initiatives Approved
The CSIDC Board, chaired by Minister Dewangan, approved several key projects aimed at enhancing industrial growth in the state. In alignment with the Chief Minister’s announcement, the board granted in-principle approval for a pharmaceutical park spanning 141.84 acres in Atal Nagar Sector-22, Nawa Raipur. This project is expected to stimulate new investment and generate local employment.
Additional approvals include the establishment of ideal industrial areas on a combined 1,549.78 acres in Janjgir-Champa and Rajnandgaon districts. Specific sites include:
– 881.60 acres across Gatwa, Birra, and Siladehi villages in Janjgir-Champa.
– 245.29 acres in Bhagodih, Muktaraja, Sarhar, and Risda villages, also in Janjgir-Champa.
– 421.9 acres in Bijetla village, Rajnandgaon.
Under the MSE-CDP scheme, the board approved proposals for upgrading 13 industrial areas managed by CSIDC across Chhattisgarh.
Udyog Bhawan Construction to Enhance Industrial Operations
In a significant move towards improving industrial infrastructure, the board also approved the construction of an Udyog Bhawan at Nawa Raipur on CSIDC land. This development is expected to bolster industrial investment, increase industrialization, and promote local employment, aligning with the vision of a developed India and a prosperous Chhattisgarh.
The meeting, held at Udyog Bhavan, was attended by Secretary of Commerce and Industry Mr. Ankit Anand, Director of Nagar and Village Investment Mr. Saurabh Kumar, CSIDC Managing Director Mr. P. Arun Prasad, and Deputy Secretary of the Finance Department Mrs. Pooja Shukla Mishra, among others.
