E-Office to Launch in Ministry from 15th August

Chief Secretary Reviews Implementation Plan; Digital Transition Aims to Enhance Administrative Efficiency

TFP Bureau, Raipur;  August 8, 2024: The Ministry is set to implement the e-office system starting 15th August, marking a significant step towards digital governance. Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain conducted a comprehensive review of the e-office process at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan today, with all departmental in-charge secretaries in attendance.

During the review, the Project Director of the National Informatics Centre (NIC) presented an overview of the e-office process, covering the e-file management system, API unit data display, implementation strategies, and the MIS report for monitoring e-file activities. Chief Secretary Jain directed all departmental officers to familiarize themselves with the e-office processes and ensure smooth transition and operation under the new system. He also instructed NIC officials to maintain a continuous presence in the Ministry to facilitate the implementation.

Additionally, the Chief Secretary provided detailed information about the Jandarshan Portal. Rahul Bhagat, Secretary to the Chief Minister, explained how the portal would expedite the resolution of applications received during the Jandarshan program, further streamlining administrative processes.

The phased implementation of e-office is expected to significantly speed up administrative work, as all note sheets and file movements within the Ministry will be handled online. This system will also provide real-time information on file status, enabling easier review at the government level and enhancing transparency in administration.

The review meeting, held via video conferencing, was attended by senior officials including Additional Chief Secretary Religious Trust and Endowments Subrata Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary of Forest and Climate Change Richa Sharma, Secretary Chief Minister and Good Governance and Convergence Rahul Bhagat, Secretary Urban Administration and Chief Minister Basavaraju S., Secretary General Administration Anbalagan P., Secretary Finance Mukesh Kumar Bansal, Commissioner Public Relations Mayank Shrivastava, and other senior departmental officers.
