TFP Bureau, Raipur; August 8, 2024: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh Government has made substantial progress in implementing welfare schemes designed to uplift labourer families across the state. As of August 8, over 1.3 lakh labourer families have benefited from these initiatives, with the Labour Department disbursing more than Rs 135.96 crore in financial assistance.
During the weekly ‘Jandarshan’ program at the Chief Minister’s residence, Chief Minister Sai personally distributed cheques totaling Rs 11.41 crore to 6,205 beneficiaries under various Labour Department schemes.
Labour Department officials reported that from December 13, 2023, to August 8, 2024, the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Worker Board has provided Rs 46.61 crore to 23,308 beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Noni Shashaktikaran Sahayata Yojana during Jandarshan programs across the state. Additionally, Rs 58.31 crore has been disbursed to 29,161 beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana, and Rs 2.39 crore to 1,396 beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana.
Further support has been extended through the Mukhyamantri Nirman Shramik Mrityu Evam Divyang Sahayata Yojana, which has provided Rs 8.4 crore to 828 beneficiaries, and the Mukhyamantri Shramik Siyan Sahayata Yojana, which has granted Rs 1.99 crore to 997 beneficiaries. The Mukhyamantri Nirman Shramik Awas Sahayata Yojana has also contributed Rs 2.87 crore to 287 beneficiaries. Moreover, Rs 15.37 crore has been distributed to 74,322 students under the Mukhyamantri Naunihal Chhatravriti Yojana.
All funds have been transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the disbursement process.
