TFP Bureau, Raipur; August 15, 2024: A ceremonial welcome was held for Governor Ramen Deka at Raj Bhawan on the eve of Independence Day. The event was marked by a warm and respectful gathering of state leaders and dignitaries, as the Governor extended his greetings on the occasion.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai presented a bouquet to Governor Deka, while the First Lady of the State, Smt. Rani Deka Kakoti, also graced the event with her presence.
Prominent attendees included Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tankram Verma, and MP Brijmohan Agrawal. The ceremony also honored Padma Shri awardees such as Madan Singh Chauhan, Shamsad Begum, Dr. Radheshyam Barle, Sushri Usha Barle, Swami G.C.D Bharati, and Anuj Sharma.
In addition to these distinguished figures, the event saw the participation of families of martyrs, police officers recognized for their bravery, and other individuals who have excelled in various fields, alongside Brahmakumari sisters.
Senior administrative and police officials, including Commissioner of Chhattisgarh State Information Commission N.K. Shukla, former Speaker of Chhattisgarh Assembly Dharamlal Kaushik, and former Chief Secretary Vivek Dhand, were in attendance. Historian Dr. Ramendranath Mishra, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, DGP Ashok Juneja, Additional Chief Secretary Renu G. Pillay, and other senior officials, Vice Chancellors, media personnel, and dignitaries were also present to celebrate the occasion.
