TFP Bureau, Raipur, August 25, 2024: Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah visited Champaran in Chhattisgarh on Saturday, where he paid homage at the sacred sites of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ji and Champeshwar Mahadev. Accompanied by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, and MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal, Shah offered prayers for the prosperity and well-being of the nation.
During his visit to the Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ashram in Champaran, Shah was greeted with a traditional welcome. Shri Dwarikeshwar Lal Ji Maharaj presented him with a statue of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ji, and members of the Vallabhacharya Nidhi Trust honored him with a picture of Shrinath Ji.
Champaran, the birthplace of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ji, holds significant cultural and spiritual importance, attracting followers of the Pushti Marg from across the country. Vallabhacharya Ji, a key figure in the Bhakti movement, was born near the Champeshwar Mahadev temple and is celebrated for his efforts in spreading Krishna consciousness throughout India.
Following his visit to Champaran, Amit Shah attended an event at Hotel Mayfair in Naya Raipur, where he released the book *’New India’s New Law’*. This book, an adaptation of the *’New Criminal Law of 2023’*, has been translated into six major local languages of Chhattisgarh: Halbi, Gondi, Bhatri, Kurukh, Chhattisgarhi, and Hindi. The release of this book is part of an initiative to make the new law more accessible to the people of Chhattisgarh, especially those in tribal and rural areas.
The event was attended by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Union Minister of State for Home Shri Nityanand Rai, and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma. The book’s release marks a significant step in ensuring that the legal framework is understood and implemented effectively across the diverse linguistic landscape of Chhattisgarh.
The dual events—one honoring the spiritual heritage of Champaran and the other focusing on modern legal reforms—highlight the government’s commitment to both preserving cultural traditions and advancing legal literacy in the state.
