Governor and Chief Minister Pay Tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee at University Convocation

Inaugurate Project Gyanpath, Atal Muktakashi Manch, and Atal Sarovar at Atal Bihari Vajpayee University

TFP Bureau, Raipur; August 31, 2024: Governor Shri Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid homage to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna recipient, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, during the fifth convocation ceremony of Atal Bihari Vajpayee University in Bilaspur today. The tribute was marked by garlanding the statue of the late leader on the university campus, with First Lady Smt. Ranee Deka Kakoty also in attendance.

During the event, the Governor and Chief Minister also inaugurated key projects at the university, including Project Gyanpath, Atal Muktakashi Manch, and Atal Sarovar. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing the educational and cultural infrastructure of the institution. Additionally, as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, both dignitaries planted saplings on the university grounds, symbolizing their commitment to environmental conservation.

The ceremony was attended by Union Minister of State for Urban Development Shri Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, MLAs Shri Dharamlal Kaushik, Shri Amar Agrawal, and Shri Sushant Shukla. The Vice-Chancellor of Atal Bihari Vajpayee University, Shri A.D.N. Vajpayee, along with other public representatives, officials, and students, also participated in the event.
