TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 2, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid homage today to Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, and former Prime Minister Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries. In a solemn ceremony at his residential office, the Chief Minister offered floral tributes to portraits of both leaders, reflecting on their immense contributions to the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sai highlighted Mahatma Gandhi’s pivotal role in the Indian freedom movement, noting that Gandhi’s principles of truth, love, and non-violence set a global example of leadership. “Gandhi Ji provided a new direction to the freedom struggle and left behind a legacy that continues to guide us today,” he remarked.
The Chief Minister also remembered former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, praising his simplicity and commitment to the welfare of the poor. Shri Sai recalled Shastri’s famous slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan,” which uplifted the spirit of the nation. “Shastri Ji’s values and dedication to public service remain a source of inspiration for all of us,” Shri Sai added.
The tribute marked a significant reflection on the lasting influence of these two iconic figures in India’s history.
