Preparations Underway for President Droupadi Murmu’s Visit to Chhattisgarh

Governor’s Secretary Leads Meeting to Discuss Necessary Arrangements

TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 11, 2024: As preparations ramp up for President Droupadi Murmu’s two-day visit to Chhattisgarh on October 25 and 26, Governor’s Secretary Yashwant Kumar convened a meeting today at Raj Bhavan to review the necessary arrangements. This meeting was held in response to directives from Governor Ramen Deka, who emphasized that all preparations must strictly follow the established protocols for the President’s visit.

During her visit, President Murmu will serve as the chief guest at the convocations of several prominent institutions, including AIIMS Raipur, NIT Raipur, IIT Bhilai, and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University of Chhattisgarh. Secretary Yashwant Kumar instructed officials to ensure that all essential arrangements are meticulously prepared at each educational institution.

Comprehensive Planning Involves Multiple Departments

The meeting included officials from the Raipur and Durg District Administrations, as well as representatives from the Public Works Department, Municipal Corporation, Public Health Engineering, Health Department, Police, and State Protocol. They were tasked with ensuring that all preparations are completed in a timely manner to facilitate a smooth visit.

In attendance were Governor’s Joint Secretary Hina Animesh Netam, Dean of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Dr. Vivek Choudhary, and various officials from the relevant departments, all working collaboratively to ensure the success of the upcoming visit.
