TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 19, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai commended the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel for their pivotal role in combating Naxalism, emphasizing that their efforts over the past 11 months have brought nationwide acclaim. During a surprise visit to the Sedwa CRPF camp in Bastar district, Shri Sai praised the jawans for their sacrifices, noting that their dedication has won them the respect and gratitude of the region’s tribal communities.
Addressing the security personnel, Shri Sai remarked, “Your bravery and dedication in fighting Naxalism have become a source of pride for the entire nation. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi frequently highlights the progress Chhattisgarh is making in this fight. I also extend my gratitude to Home Minister Shri Amit Shah for his unwavering guidance and support in our mission.”
Shri Sai revealed that the state government, with the backing of the central leadership, aims to eliminate Naxalism from Bastar by 2026. He noted that over 200 Naxalites have been killed in recent operations, while more than 740 Maoist cadres have surrendered, opting to rejoin mainstream society. The Chief Minister expressed optimism that the government’s rehabilitation policies would further encourage Naxalites to abandon violence.
The visit, which caught the CRPF jawans by surprise, saw the Chief Minister share meals and spend the night at the camp, strengthening his rapport with the forces and boosting their morale.
“Your commitment, even at the cost of being away from your families, is a testament to your resolve and patriotism. Bastar’s development owes much to your tireless efforts,” Shri Sai told the jawans.
The Chief Minister’s visit underscores the state’s recognition of the CRPF’s contributions and its commitment to supporting security forces in their mission to secure peace and development in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected regions.
