TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 21, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, accompanied by his wife Smt. Kaushalya Devi Sai and family members, attended a special screening of the film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ at Magneto Mall in Raipur. The film explores the truth behind the 2002 train tragedy in Godhra, Gujarat, a pivotal and tragic event in India’s history.
Director Ms. Ekta Kapoor and lead actress Ms. Riddhi Dogra were also present for the screening. The Chief Minister lauded the film for its sensitive portrayal of the horrific incident, calling it a “commendable and impressive effort” to bring historical truths to light.
Shri Sai further announced that the film would be tax-free in Chhattisgarh, encouraging families to watch it together. “It is crucial for the new generation to understand this painful chapter of our history,” he said, emphasizing that the study of past events provides valuable insights into shaping a better future.
The event was also attended by several prominent figures, including Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, and Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade
