Three-Month Extension Granted for DAY-NULM Work

Employees Thank Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao for Supporting Urban Livelihood Mission

TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 27, 2024: The State Government’s Urban Administration and Development Department has announced a three-month extension for work under the centrally sponsored Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Urban Livelihood Mission (DAY-NULM). This extension allows the mission’s activities to continue until December 2024. A circular regarding this decision has been issued to the State Urban Development Agency (SUDA).

In recognition of this extension, State Mission Managers, City Mission Managers, Community Organizers, and CRP women associated with DAY-NULM met Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Sao at his residence in Raipur to express their gratitude.

The extension will ensure regular honorarium payments for the mission staff working across 170 urban bodies in the state and at the state level. This includes City Mission Managers, Community Organizers, Self-Help Groups, and CRP women, who play a pivotal role in the scheme’s implementation.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting urban livelihood initiatives and ensuring benefits reach the urban poor seamlessly. The continuation of DAY-NULM activities will further empower the urban poor and sustain critical developmental efforts under the mission.

The decision has brought relief and motivation to mission workers and is expected to facilitate the enthusiastic implementation of the scheme’s activities during the extended period.
