Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai Marks Progress on Modi’s Guarantees; Raigarh Receives Major Development Boost

Mahtari Vandan Yojana’s 10th installment transferred, Raigarh’s Nalanda campus to boost education and youth empowermen

TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 3, 2024:  On the occasion of Janadesh Diwas, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai announced the transfer of the 10th installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana to the accounts of over 70 lakh women across the state, as part of a broader push to empower women and fulfill key promises made by the government. Speaking at a function in Raigarh, the Chief Minister highlighted the significance of this financial aid, emphasizing that the support has helped women across the state achieve their dreams, citing inspiring stories of women in Dansara village who started a temple construction with funds from the Yojana.

“The blessings of our mothers and sisters give me the strength to work,” Chief Minister Shri Sai said. He also touched on the positive impact of his government’s transparency efforts, specifically in the Public Service Commission exams, where irregularities had previously undermined youth confidence. The government’s commitment to restoring trust through CBI investigations has bolstered the faith of aspiring youth, he added.

During the event, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation for the state’s largest Nalanda campus in Raigarh, with an investment of ₹42 crore 56 lakh. The campus will include a state-of-the-art library and study zones aimed at enhancing competitive exam preparation for the youth of the region. The campus will offer thousands of books, Wi-Fi access, and specialized materials for civil services, engineering, medical, and other competitive exams.

In his speech, Shri Vishnu Dev Sai outlined his government’s focus on rapid industrialization and infrastructure development. He shared that the state’s industrial policy, which is designed to support entrepreneurs, will pave the way for economic growth. Connectivity improvements, such as better roads, air services, and rail infrastructure, are part of a broader strategy to make Chhattisgarh a key player in the national economy by 2047.

The Chief Minister also announced the state’s commitment to agricultural prosperity, with paddy being purchased at ₹3,100 per quintal, and the target for paddy procurement set at 160 lakh metric tonnes this year. He emphasized that his government had successfully fulfilled most of Prime Minister Modi’s promises within a year of taking office.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao praised the Chief Minister’s leadership in fulfilling Modi’s guarantees, highlighting the rapid completion of development projects in both urban and rural areas. Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary emphasized the ongoing efforts to improve irrigation facilities in Raigarh and the development of a Horticulture College, which will further contribute to the district’s growth.

Nalanda Campus in Raigarh to Boost Education

The new Nalanda campus, designed to be the largest library in the state, will be equipped with cutting-edge technology to support students in preparing for competitive exams. The campus will feature an extensive collection of books, international-level e-books, and 24/7 internet access. Special zones will cater to civil services, medical, engineering, and CLAT preparation, with separate areas for younger students preparing for entrance exams like Navodaya Vidyalaya and Sainik School. Additionally, the campus will house a cafeteria and conference hall, creating an all-encompassing environment for learning.

The event saw the virtual unveiling of the Nalanda campus, with Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, along with local schoolchildren, pressing the button to inaugurate a video tour of the upcoming campus.
