TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 8, 2024: Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade highlighted the significance of the Youth Parliament program in developing leadership qualities among the youth. She was addressing participants at the district-level Youth Parliament Competition held at Swami Atmanand School in Batra village, Surajpur district, where she was the chief guest.
In her speech, Minister Rajwade explained that the Youth Parliament program plays a crucial role in empowering the younger generation, encouraging them to actively engage in democratic processes.
“The aim of the Youth Parliament is not only to foster leadership but also to motivate youth to participate in democracy, consider public issues, and form their own informed opinions,” she said.
During the event, the Minister also interacted with the Scout Guide students of the school and presented certificates to the winners of the Youth Parliament competition. She emphasized that the program offers students a valuable opportunity to understand the workings of government and the parliamentary system.
The Youth Parliament program, she added, is a platform for students to grasp the intricacies of governance and democratic functions, helping them become well-informed citizens ready to contribute to society.
