Chhattisgarh Government Announces Key Police Transfers

Several senior IPS officers reassigned to new roles within the state police department

TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 11, 2024:  The Chhattisgarh Government has announced a series of significant transfers within the state police force, affecting several senior officers. The changes are effective immediately and are aimed at strengthening the operational capabilities of the state police.

New Appointments for Key Positions

Shri Santosh Kumar Singh (IPS-2011), who previously served as the Superintendent of Police in Raipur, has been temporarily reassigned as the Assistant Inspector General of Police at the Police Headquarters in Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur. This posting will remain in effect until further orders.

In another move, Shri Lal Ummed Singh (IPS-2011), who was serving as the Superintendent of Police for Chief Minister Security in Raipur, will now take on the role of Superintendent of Police for Raipur, also temporarily, until further orders.

Commandant and SP Transfers

Shri Suraj Singh Parihar (BPS-2015), Superintendent of Police in Korea, has been reassigned as the Commandant of the 14th Battalion in Dhanora, Balod District, effective immediately, until further notice.

Meanwhile, Shri Ravi Kurre (BPS), who was serving as Commandant of the 18th Battalion in Manendragarh, will now take over as Superintendent of Police for Korea, with immediate effect, until further orders.

Chief Minister Security Update

In another key move, Shri Harish Rathore (RPSC), who was previously Commandant of the VIP Battalion in Mana Raipur, has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police for Chief Minister Security in Raipur, effective immediately.

These changes reflect the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance police administration and improve law enforcement coordination. The transfers will remain in place until further instructions are issued.
