TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 13, 2024: Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Shri J.P. Nadda praised the double-engine government, highlighting its significant contributions to the growth of both India and Chhattisgarh. Speaking at the Janadesh Parba event at the Science College Ground in Raipur, Nadda stated that the double-engine governance model has brought “double benefits” to the people, emphasizing that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the country is progressing rapidly, with India now ranked as the fifth-largest economy globally.
At the event, Nadda inaugurated and laid the foundation for various development projects worth Rs 1,124 crore, reinforcing the government’s commitment to infrastructure development. He also applauded the Chhattisgarh government’s efforts, such as approving the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for over 18 lakh needy families and providing farmers with Rs 3100 per quintal for paddy, in line with Modi’s promise.
Celebrating Chhattisgarh’s 25 Years with ‘Atal Nirman Varsh’
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai announced that the state would celebrate its silver jubilee year as ‘Atal Nirman Varsh,’ dedicated to Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the architect of modern India’s infrastructure. He also declared that Janadesh Parba will be celebrated annually from December 3 to December 13 to honor the state’s achievements and its people.
Chief Minister Sai highlighted that under the ‘double engine’ government, Rs 49,000 crore had been deposited into the accounts of farmers and Rs 6,530 crore had been sent in ten installments to 70 lakh mothers and sisters under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. He also underscored the values of Ram Rajya as a model for good governance and introduced digital systems to ensure transparency and accountability.
Focus on Bastar and Surguja’s Development
Addressing the crowd, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of Bastar and Surguja’s development, stating that the progress of these regions is vital to the overall development of Chhattisgarh. He mentioned increased payments to forest produce collectors and announced a tourism corridor in Bastar. Notably, Bastar’s Dhudmaras village has been included in the United Nations Tourism Organization’s list of top global destinations. The state’s growing tourism sector, bolstered by eco-tourism initiatives, is gaining global recognition.
Furthermore, Sai highlighted the success in combating Maoism, with over 200 Maoists eliminated in the past year, and announced a new industrial policy expected to create five lakh jobs through Rs 2.5 lakh crore investment.
Cultural Highlights at the Event
In a symbolic gesture, Chief Minister Sai presented a replica of Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, crafted from bell metal by Bastar artisans, to Union Minister Nadda. Renowned sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik also showcased his work, featuring sculptures celebrating the state’s government schemes.
The event was attended by a large gathering of dignitaries, including Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, former Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Bihar Cabinet Minister Nitin Naveen, and several other ministers and MLAs.
