TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 14, 2024: Chhattisgarh’s remarkable progress and good governance were brought to life in a unique and artistic way by renowned sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarshan Patnaik. His mesmerizing sand sculptures, displayed at the Janadesh Parb program held at Science College in Raipur, depicted the transformative initiatives of the Vishnu Deo Sai-led government.
The event, marking the completion of one year of the current state government, was attended by Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, several ministers, and thousands of citizens on Friday evening. Patnaik’s sand art became a centerpiece of the event, captivating the audience with its intricate portrayal of Chhattisgarh’s development journey.
Speaking about his inspiration, Patnaik said, “Through my sand art, I aimed to showcase the overall development and good governance achieved under Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s leadership. From housing and energy initiatives to forest conservation and women empowerment schemes, the state has made commendable progress across multiple sectors.”
The artist’s sand sculptures illustrated a range of ambitious programs that have transformed lives in Chhattisgarh. These included the *Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana*, *Krishak Unnati Yojana*, *Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam* campaign, *Mahtari Vandan Yojana*, and increased remuneration for tendu leaf collectors. Other initiatives like the *Ram Lala Darshan Yojana*, *New Industrial Policy*, and schemes targeting education, health, and potable water supply were also highlighted.
Patnaik’s work served as a visual narrative of the government’s achievements, emphasizing efforts in women’s empowerment, forest conservation, and economic growth through new industrial initiatives. Programs such as *Rajim Kumbh* and schemes benefiting forest dwellers were also intricately represented, demonstrating the administration’s focus on improving living standards.
Visitors to the event praised Patnaik’s artistry, describing it as a creative yet impactful way of reflecting the state’s growth. “This sand art not only depicted the government’s achievements but also gave us a deeper appreciation of the progress made in just one year,” remarked one attendee.
