TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 17, 2024: Highlighting the state’s commitment to the empowerment and welfare of persons with disabilities, Social Welfare Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade praised the initiatives undertaken under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. Speaking at the Talented Divyangjan Samman ceremony, organized by the Social Welfare Department at Government Vision and Shravan Bandi Higher Secondary School in Raipur, she emphasized that several schemes are in place for the protection, rehabilitation, and upliftment of Divyangjan (persons with disabilities).
“Our government is working tirelessly for the interests and welfare of disabled individuals. We are committed to completing all pending works and ensuring that each of you receives the support and encouragement you deserve,” Minister Rajwade stated.
The event featured various cultural performances by disabled children, including songs and art displays. Overwhelmed by a song performed by Divyang students, the minister expressed her joy and stressed the importance of love and societal encouragement for people with disabilities. She added that Divyang individuals are achieving remarkable feats in various fields across the state and country.
During the ceremony, two individuals—Shri Chandan Gilhere from Devpuri and Shri Bal Das Manikpuri from Bhainsa—were provided with e-rickshaws by the Chhattisgarh Divyangjan Finance Development Corporation. National and state-level Divyang achievers were also honored, while mute students presented a painting as a gesture of appreciation to Minister Rajwade.
The event was attended by Deputy Directors RN Bose, Bhupendra Pandey, and Kiran Khare, along with Principal Amit Trivedi, Superintendent Sita, other officials, staff, and students.
