TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 21, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai attended the closing ceremony of the state-level Panthi dance competition and Guru Ghasidas Folk Art Festival 2024, held at Navagarh, the headquarters of the development block in Bemetara district. In a significant gesture of support for the region’s development, Shri Sai inaugurated 74 key development projects worth Rs 209 crore and performed Bhoomi Pujan for new infrastructure initiatives.
During the event, Chief Minister Sai made several impactful announcements, including the introduction of 40 additional seats each for M.Com and Science courses at Kodu Ram Dalit Mahavidyalaya in Navagarh, along with plans to construct CC roads worth Rs 10 lakh each in 10 villages predominantly inhabited by Scheduled Castes. He also emphasized his government’s focus on empowering women and youth, particularly through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which provides Rs 1,000 per month to mothers and sisters in the state.
In his address, the Chief Minister praised the vision of Baba Guru Ghasidas, whose teachings of equality and unity continue to guide the people of Chhattisgarh. He reaffirmed his commitment to creating a society that is just and prosperous, emphasizing that his administration remains focused on providing economic opportunities, especially for Scheduled Castes and Tribes. Additionally, he highlighted the government’s initiatives to ensure transparency in exams and promote entrepreneurship among marginalized communities.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Union Minister of State Mr. Tokhan Sahu, Food Minister Mr. Dayal Das Baghel, and Revenue Minister Mr. Tankaram Verma were also present at the function, which saw the distribution of Prime Minister’s housing keys to beneficiaries and the recognition of exceptional performances in the Panthi dance competition.
Shri Sai concluded his visit with a tour of development exhibition stalls and reiterated his administration’s dedication to the progress of Chhattisgarh, in alignment with the egalitarian ideals of Baba Guru Ghasidas.
