TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 6, 2025: Chhattisgarh has emerged as one of the top-performing states in the “Desh Ka Prakriti Pariksha” (Nature Test of the Country) campaign, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the ninth National Ayurveda Day on 29 October 2024. Under the aegis of the Ministry of AYUSH, the first phase of the campaign, aimed at promoting Ayurveda-based health awareness, concluded successfully on 25 December 2024.
During this period, 4,45,897 citizens in Chhattisgarh underwent an online nature test (Vata-Pitta-Kapha) based on Ayurvedic principles. The campaign received support from 3,551 volunteers, including Ayurveda college teachers, doctors, students, medical officers, and private practitioners. Chhattisgarh’s performance surpassed that of states like Bihar, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Uttarakhand, showcasing the state’s strong commitment to Ayurveda.
The campaign’s closing ceremony was held in Kunkuri, Jashpur district, under the chief hospitality of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai. On this occasion, the Chief Minister received a personalized nature test card and encouraged citizens to embrace Ayurveda for holistic health. Prominent leaders, including the Governor, Assembly Speaker, Health and Family Welfare Minister, and other public representatives, also participated in the initiative by undergoing their nature tests.
Purpose of the Campaign
The “Desh Ka Prakriti Pariksha” campaign aims to promote Ayurvedic health practices by providing citizens with personalized advice on diet, daily routine, seasonal habits, and lifestyle changes through a mobile application. The campaign also seeks to address and prevent lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and cancer.
Participants who underwent the test were issued a “Digital Nature Test Card,” which will serve as a reference for future Ayurvedic treatments. This initiative also eliminates the need for repeated nature tests, making healthcare more accessible and efficient.
How Citizens Can Participate
The free nature test will continue for interested citizens. To participate, individuals can download the “Desh Ka Prakriti Pariksha” app from their mobile phone’s play store and complete the citizen login process. They can then contact the nearest Ayurvedic college, hospital, district dispensary, or private Ayurvedic doctors to undergo the test.
Chhattisgarh’s remarkable participation reflects growing public interest in Ayurveda and its potential to address modern health challenges with ancient wisdom. The state government aims to build on this momentum in the upcoming phases of the campaign.
