National Pathologist Conference to Be Held in Raigarh

Eminent doctors to discuss AI-based advanced treatments for hemophilia and sickle cell disease.

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 8, 2025: Government Medical College Raigarh is set to host the prestigious 20th Annual Workshop and Conference of the Chhattisgarh Chapter of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (CAPCON 2024-25) from January 10 to January 12. The event is expected to benefit doctors, pathologists, and postgraduate students from across Chhattisgarh and neighboring states.

Themed “Unlocking the Secrets of Diseases, Advances in Pathology,” the conference will focus on state-specific health challenges and the latest advancements in diagnostic techniques. Organized under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, and Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, the event aims to elevate medical education and healthcare standards in the region.

Dr. Manoj Kumar Minj, the conference organizer, shared that over 200 participants, including leading pathologists and health experts, are expected to attend. Sessions will feature detailed discussions on topics such as AI-based advanced treatments for hemophilia and sickle cell disease, immunohistochemistry for cancer diagnosis, and digital pathology solutions.

Other highlights include insights into improving diagnoses for bladder tumors, techniques for soft tissue tumor identification, and discussions on renal biopsies and borderline ovarian tumor dilemmas. The conference also aims to bridge knowledge gaps through presentations, case studies, and hands-on workshops, benefiting both medical professionals and the general public.

This marks the first CAPCON event to be hosted in Raigarh, reflecting the city’s growing importance as a hub for medical education and innovation.
