TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 8, 2025: Chhattisgarh is embracing a digital governance model to empower its citizens and improve accessibility to government services, according to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. At the inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of several development projects in Dhamtari district, Shri Sai emphasized the role of information technology in modernizing the state’s administrative processes.
During the ceremony, Chief Minister Shri Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation for development works worth Rs 268 crore. He also distributed beneficiary-oriented materials, directly impacting the lives of residents across the region.
The Chief Minister pointed out that the digital initiative, particularly the distribution of ownership cards to villagers, was resolving longstanding land ownership disputes. By offering permanent documents for inhabited land, the state is addressing property-related issues that often resulted in court cases. This initiative, he noted, is made possible by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of leveraging technology to resolve such problems.
Shri Sai further highlighted the state government’s commitment to digital governance at all levels, including the development of the Sugam App to facilitate transparent property registrations and the ongoing digitization of documents. He also noted the significant role of drone surveys in mapping inhabited lands, which will aid in planning village development and help prevent encroachments.
Speaking on the development of tribal areas, Shri Sai praised the success of the Prime Minister Janman Yojana, which has brought vital infrastructure to Kamar tribe settlements. The state has constructed 36 roads at a cost of approximately Rs 47 crore, ensuring better connectivity and access to essential services such as clean water, electricity, and education.
The Chief Minister also discussed the state’s robust support for its farmers. Through favorable policies, farmers are receiving competitive prices for paddy and have sold over 106 lakh metric tonnes of rice, benefiting over 20 lakh farmers. Dhamtari, in particular, has seen significant agricultural growth, with increased production of pulses and oilseeds, thanks to ongoing water conservation efforts.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw, along with other dignitaries, praised the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai for driving the state’s development and ensuring that all citizens, particularly those in remote villages, benefit from government schemes like Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
MLA Kurud Mr. Ajay Chandrakar highlighted the district’s potential for industrial growth, with new initiatives set to generate employment opportunities.
The event was also attended by MP Smt. Roopkumari Chaudhary, Shri Bhojraj Nag, and various public officials, marking the state government’s progress in fulfilling its development commitments.
