TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 12, 2025: In a significant move to drive Chhattisgarh’s economic and social development, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, revealed plans for a ₹75,000 crore investment during a meeting with Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. The announcement is expected to have a transformative impact on the state’s power generation, cement production, and community welfare initiatives.
A major portion of the investment, ₹60,000 crore, will be directed towards expanding the Adani Group’s power plants in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh. The expansion will add 6,120 MW to the state’s power generation capacity, addressing the growing demand for energy.
Furthermore, ₹5,000 crore will be allocated to enhance the group’s cement production in Chhattisgarh, contributing to the state’s industrial growth.
In a display of corporate social responsibility, Adani also committed ₹10,000 crore for education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism over the next four years, under the Adani Foundation’s initiatives.
Additionally, the meeting explored further opportunities for collaboration, including the manufacturing of defense-related equipment and the establishment of data centers and a Global Capability Centre in the state. These initiatives are expected to create significant job opportunities while strengthening Chhattisgarh’s industrial foundation.
Speaking at the event, Gautam Adani emphasized the state’s potential in driving India’s overall growth.
“Chhattisgarh’s immense potential will play a pivotal role in driving India’s progress, and we are committed to being a partner in this journey,” he stated.
The planned investments are set to bring significant changes to Chhattisgarh, positioning it for a robust economic future with an enhanced infrastructure base and increased industrial capacity.
