TFP Bureau, Nava Raipur, January 12, 2025: The Chhattisgarh government has announced a significant reshuffle among senior IAS officers, assigning new roles and additional charges to streamline administrative operations across departments. The General Administration Department issued the order detailing the appointments and reassignments.
1. Shri Subrat Sahu, IAS (1992)
The Additional Chief Secretary for Religious Trust and Dharmasva Department, and Director General of Chhattisgarh Administration Academy, has been given additional responsibility as the Additional Chief Secretary for the Cooperative Department.
2. Shri Jai Prakash Maurya, IAS (2010)
Currently serving as Special Secretary in the Higher Education Department, he has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Matikala Board. Additionally, he will take charge as the Managing Director of the Handicrafts Development Board.
3. Shri Yashwant Kumar, IAS (2007)
The Director of Village Industries and Secretary to the Hon’ble Governor will be relieved of his charge as Managing Director of the Handicrafts Development Board but will retain his other responsibilities, including roles in the Handloom Development Federation and Khadi Village Industries Board.
4. Shri Remigius Ekka, IAS (2011)
The Director of Veterinary Services will now also serve as the Director of Urban Administration and Development, relieving him from his additional charge as Special Secretary of the Urban Administration and Development Department.
5. Shri Rajat Bansal, IAS (2012)
Currently the Commissioner for MNREGA and Director of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), he will now hold additional responsibility as the Special Secretary of the Good Governance and Convergence Department.
6. Shri Kundan Kumar, IAS (2014)
The Director of Urban Administration and Development has been appointed as Commissioner of the Housing Board and will also serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Raipur Development Authority. The Housing Board post has been declared equivalent to a Junior Administrative Grade under IAS pay rules.
7. Shri Jagdish S., IAS (2005)
The Director of Horticulture has been assigned additional responsibility as the Project Director of the Chirag Project. He will take over this responsibility from Shri Ravi Mittal, IAS (2016), who retains his other roles as Commissioner of Public Relations and Chief Executive Officer of Communications.
These changes, effective immediately, reflect the state government’s commitment to bolstering governance and ensuring efficient administration.
