Adani Group Expands Healthcare Services in Chhattisgarh

Chairman Gautam Adani dedicates Mobile Health Care Unit in Raigarh; over 26,000 villagers to benefit from enhanced medical outreach

TFP Bureau, Raigarh, January 15. 2025: Adani Group Chairman Mr. Gautam Adani, during his one-day visit to Chhattisgarh, reaffirmed his commitment to providing quality healthcare in rural areas. At an event in Pusaur block of Raigarh district, he inaugurated a new Mobile Health Care Unit (MHCU) under the Adani Foundation. The unit will cater to over 26,000 residents across 22 villages, 16 gram panchayats, and two blocks connected to the Adani Power Limited railway line project, delivering doorstep healthcare services.

This initiative marks a significant step toward strengthening rural health infrastructure. The new MHCU joins an existing fleet of health units operated by the Adani Foundation, which has already provided healthcare to over 24,350 individuals from 23 villages around the Raigarh plant. Since its inception, more than 74,500 consultations have been conducted through these mobile units. Additionally, the foundation organizes health camps for school children and health awareness sessions in rural areas, addressing issues like eye, ear, skin, and women’s health.

During a recent meeting with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Mr. Adani announced plans to invest ₹10,000 crore over the next four years in CSR initiatives, focusing on education, skill development, and healthcare in the state.

The Adani Foundation operates in Raipur, Durg, Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara, Bilaspur, Korba, Raigarh, and Surguja districts. Its comprehensive CSR programs include education, health, women’s empowerment, livelihood enhancement, and infrastructure development. The foundation’s initiatives aim to uplift over 100 villages in these regions through mobile healthcare units and specialized health camps.

This new healthcare unit is a testament to the Adani Group’s commitment to improving the lives of rural communities in Chhattisgarh, ensuring that even the most remote areas have access to essential medical services.
