TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 15, 2025: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Chhattisgarh’s paddy procurement drive is continuing uninterrupted, ensuring benefits to farmers across the state. Since the launch of the campaign on November 14, 2024, approximately 121 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been procured. Farmers have received ₹25,549 crore as payment under the bank-linking system, bringing significant financial relief to 22.49 lakh farmers.
The paddy procurement process, which is being closely monitored by senior officials, will continue until January 31, 2025. To streamline the process, registered farmers can utilize the “Token Tunhar Hath” online app to select convenient dates for selling their produce at designated procurement centers. This token system remains available until January 25, 2025.
In addition to procurement, the lifting of paddy by millers is also progressing rapidly. So far, Delivery Orders (DO) and Transport Orders (TO) have been issued for the lifting of 92.65 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, with 65 lakh metric tonnes already transported to mills.
The state government has registered 27.78 lakh farmers for this Kharif marketing season, including 1.59 lakh new farmers. An estimated 160 lakh metric tonnes of paddy will be procured this year through 2,739 procurement centers across the state.
This ongoing initiative highlights the Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to supporting farmers and ensuring a smooth and efficient procurement process.
