
TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 10, 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today met with a delegation from Poland’s Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs at his residence, marking an important step in strengthening India-Poland relations. The Chief Minister welcomed the delegation with a symbolic Bastar Art memento and highlighted Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage, vast mineral resources, and tourism potential. He also discussed the state’s rapidly growing economy and its promising environment for industrial investment, inviting Polish investors to explore opportunities in the state.
The delegation, led by Chairman Mr. Pawel Kowal, expressed admiration for Chhattisgarh’s natural beauty and cultural diversity, with particular appreciation for their visit to Purkhauti Muktangan, which offered a glimpse into the vibrant culture of the state.
Building Stronger Ties Between India and Poland
Mr. Kowal emphasized the significance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Poland last year, which he described as a pivotal moment in strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries. “After 45 years, an Indian Prime Minister visited Poland, and now, as part of this growing relationship, we are visiting Indian states like Chhattisgarh to explore areas for cooperation,” he stated. He also conveyed his gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to the delegation during their visit.
Chhattisgarh’s Industrial Potential and Investment Opportunities
During the discussions, Chief Minister Shri Sai highlighted Chhattisgarh’s progress over the past 25 years and its strategic role in India’s economic growth. The state is an important player in sectors such as mining, energy, forestry, and tourism. Shri Rajat Kumar, Secretary of the Industries Department, provided a detailed overview of the state’s industrial policy, showcasing the incentives and infrastructural support available to investors.
Chhattisgarh’s industrial ecosystem, alongside its rich cultural heritage and tourism opportunities, was presented in a comprehensive PowerPoint to the visiting delegation.
Chhattisgarh: A Gateway for European Investors
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai assured the Polish delegation that his government is committed to fostering a business-friendly environment with a focus on improving the Ease of Doing Business. He invited European investors to consider Chhattisgarh’s favorable industrial policies and world-class infrastructure as a gateway to lucrative investment opportunities.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Chief Minister’s Secretaries Shri Mukesh Bansal and Shri P. Dayanand, along with Director of the Culture Department, Shri Vivek Acharya.
