
TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 13, 2025: On the occasion of Mahakumbh 2025, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai took a holy dip at the revered Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, offering prayers for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the people of Chhattisgarh. Accompanied by Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, and their families, the Chief Minister described the Mahakumbh as a grand confluence of faith, spirituality, and tradition that embodies the eternal essence of Indian culture.
The Chief Minister’s journey began with his departure from Raipur Airport, where he was warmly welcomed in Prayagraj. He and his delegation, which included various dignitaries, traveled in five eco-friendly electric buses from the airport to Sangam Ghat. The delegation then took motorboats from Arel Ghat to the Triveni Sangam, where they performed the ritual of the holy dip in the sacred waters where the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers converge.
During the ritual, Chief Minister Sai and his spouse performed a traditional puja, praying for the welfare of Chhattisgarh’s people and the nation. In his address, he hailed the Triveni Sangam as not only a meeting point of rivers but as a spiritual confluence of India’s culture, heritage, and devotion.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Mahakumbh is more than just a religious gathering; it is a global celebration of spiritual consciousness and human unity. He highlighted the importance of this event in strengthening India’s spiritual heritage and serving as a beacon of Sanatan Dharma’s divine philosophy to the world.
Further, Chief Minister Sai reaffirmed his government’s dedication to preserving and promoting Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural traditions both nationally and internationally. He spoke of the timeless symbolism of Mahakumbh as an opportunity for self-discovery, reinforcing the harmony between nature, human existence, and the eternal wisdom of India’s sages.
In a call for environmental responsibility, Chief Minister Sai urged devotees to protect the sacred rivers and uphold the values of Sanatan culture for future generations. He concluded his remarks by extending heartfelt greetings to the people of Chhattisgarh and the nation, praying for peace, prosperity, and a brighter future for all.
