
TFP Bureau, Raipur, March 10, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai handed over appointment letters to 840 newly selected Sub Inspectors at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose State Police Academy in Chandkhuri, reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening the state’s law enforcement.
Addressing the recruits, CM Sai emphasized that the police force is not just a symbol of law and order but also a pillar of public trust and security. He highlighted the evolving role of the police beyond crime control, stating that fostering peace, trust, and cooperation in society is equally important.
The Chief Minister also underlined the government’s focus on modernizing the police force, particularly in cyber security, women’s safety, and Naxal-affected regions. He assured that ongoing technological advancements and enhanced resources would make the police more efficient and effective.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma commended the efforts made under CM Sai’s leadership to empower the police force. He reminded the newly appointed officers that wearing the uniform is not just about authority but also about the responsibility to serve and protect society.
In a significant move towards women’s safety, CM Sai inaugurated four new women’s police stations in Jashpur, Raigarh, Jagdalpur, and Dantewada. He stated that these police stations would ensure a safer environment for women and facilitate quicker justice. He also revealed that the state government is considering further reforms, including technical upgrades, modern weaponry, and enhanced training programs for the police force.
Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, addressing the recruits, called the day a milestone in their careers, urging them to uphold discipline and morale in their service.
The event was attended by Arang MLA Guru Khuswant Saheb, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Manoj Pingua, and senior police officials.
