Swarnaprashan Ceremony Held for 3934 Children at Ayurveda College Hospital

Swarnaprashan and Bal Raksha Kits Distributed to Thousands of Children in Raipur

TFP Bureau, Raipur, March 10, 2025: A special Swarnaprashan ceremony was held today at the Government Ayurveda College Hospital in Raipur, where 3934 children were administered the traditional Ayurveda treatment. The event, which took place on Pushya Nakshatra, saw the distribution of Swarnaprashan kits to 800 children, along with Bal Raksha kits given to 350 children. These health kits were provided by the All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi.

Ms. Iffat Ara, Director of the AYUSH Department, personally distributed the kits to the children and their families. She also participated in the Swarnaprashan process for the children. The ceremony was attended by several distinguished officials, including Dr. G.R. Chaturvedi, Principal of the Ayurveda Medical College, Dr. Sanjay Shukla, Registrar of Chhattisgarh Ayurvedic Medical Council, and Dr. Aruna Ojha, Superintendent-in-charge of the college.

Dr. Lavkesh Chandravanshi, Coordinator of the Swarnaprashan program, explained that the Swarnaprashan is an important Ayurvedic ritual conducted annually on the Pushya Nakshatra date for children aged 0 to 16 years. The treatment is known to enhance immunity, improve digestion, strengthen memory, and increase physical stamina while preventing illnesses.

In addition to the treatment, the health of all children receiving Swarnaprashan was closely monitored with thorough health check-ups. Dr. Chandravanshi added that today’s event marked a significant milestone, with nearly 4000 children benefiting from the program.
